Prefabricated construction in Morocco set to surpass $500 million by 2029
Morocco’s prefabricated construction market is experiencing significant growth, driven by industrialization and diversification in materials and techniques, according to a 2025 report by Research and Markets.
The market is projected to reach 4.2 billion Moroccan dirhams (MMDH) in 2025, reflecting an annual growth rate of 4.4%. Over the past five years, between 2020 and 2024, the sector achieved an average annual growth of 5.2%, indicating a gradual increase in the adoption of industrialized building solutions.
Looking ahead to 2029, the market is expected to grow at a slightly slower but sustained pace of 3.8% annually, reaching 5.08 MMDH. This expansion is supported by the growing penetration of prefabricated techniques across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, including collective housing, hospital infrastructures, and tertiary buildings.
The report highlights diversification in product offerings—from structural superstructures to interior modules, roofs, floors, and façades—using materials such as aluminum, wood, steel, concrete, and glass. The combination of materials and products enhances cost efficiency, construction speed, and energy performance, reflecting a maturing industrial ecosystem.
Research and Markets’ analysis shows that prefabricated construction is no longer merely experimental in Morocco. It is now a strategic pillar in the country’s real estate and industrial development, providing effective solutions to urbanization challenges, land constraints, and the growing demand for sustainable infrastructure.
