French President Emmanuel Macron is leaving Morocco after a state visit
French President Emmanuel Macron, alongside his wife, Brigitte Macron, concluded a significant state visit to Morocco on Wednesday afternoon, following an invitation from His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This visit underscores the enduring partnership between France and Morocco, marked by mutual interests and collaborative efforts.
During their stay, King Mohammed VI hosted an official dinner at the Royal Palace in Rabat, attended by esteemed members of the royal family, including Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid. The gathering served as a platform to celebrate the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
In a show of solidarity, Morocco expressed its readiness to dispatch rescue teams and provide assistance in response to recent flooding in Spain, as stated by the Ministry of the Interior. This gesture highlights Morocco's commitment to regional cooperation and humanitarian support.
Additionally, the fifth mixed economic commission between Morocco and Hungary convened in Rabat, further emphasizing Morocco's strategic role in fostering international partnerships.
On the environmental front, Morocco has undertaken 70 cloud seeding operations in 2024, showcasing its proactive approach to water resource management amid climate challenges.
President Macron reaffirmed France's commitment to ongoing public investments in Morocco, including initiatives in the Sahara region, signaling a robust economic collaboration that promises to benefit both nations.
The Marrakech Airshow 2024 also witnessed the signing of two military cooperation agreements, reinforcing the defense ties between Morocco and France.
