Clavijo's Upcoming Visit to Morocco to Enhance Scientific Collaboration
The Government of the Canary Islands is poised to deepen its collaborative efforts with Morocco, as President Fernando Clavijo prepares for a significant visit this week. Announced by spokesperson Alfonso Cabello, the trip aims to bolster scientific, technological, and innovative partnerships between the two regions.
During a press conference following the recent Council of Government meeting, Cabello emphasized the importance of this mission, which will be led by Clavijo and a substantial delegation. This group will include over 30 Canary Island experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs, all focused on fostering cooperative initiatives within West Africa.
Cabello highlighted that this delegation represents a diverse array of knowledge and expertise, aiming to enhance the presence of the Canary Islands in collaborative projects with African nations. A key highlight of the visit will be an intensive working session at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, which is expected to pave the way for future scientific endeavors.
This initiative reflects a broader strategy by the Canary Islands to establish itself as a pivotal hub for cooperation with African countries, particularly in areas that drive innovation and development. The ongoing commitment to these partnerships underscores the region's dedication to fostering sustainable growth and knowledge exchange across borders.
