Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out a devastating assault on Thursday, targeting the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, where they killed at least 33 Palestinians, the majority of whom were women and children. Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes, hitting both the building and nearby homes, with Palestinian news agency Wafa reporting numerous other injuries.

The airstrikes were part of a broader wave of attacks across Gaza that resulted in at least 70 fatalities. This brings the total death toll since October 7, 2023, to over 44,835, according to reports. In addition to the lives lost, more than 106,000 people have been injured, with thousands still trapped under rubble, presumed dead.

The government media office in Gaza described the attack as "barbaric and heinous," noting that the area was residential, housing civilians, children, and displaced persons. Despite the occupation army's awareness of the civilian presence, it proceeded with the airstrikes, leading to the horrific loss of life.

In response, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack, holding the international community responsible for its failure to intervene. The ministry asserted that these ongoing massacres are part of a broader policy aimed at the systematic eradication of Palestinian life in Gaza. It further criticized the lack of international action in safeguarding Palestinian lives, holding global powers accountable for their inaction.

This attack is another tragic chapter in the ongoing conflict, further intensifying the humanitarian crisis and raising critical questions about the responsibility of the international community in protecting vulnerable populations.
