Taking place alongside the prestigious MWC Barcelona 2024, the largest gathering of mobile operators, manufacturers, and vendors, Huawei's event themed "I C Talent: Nurturing Excellence in a Digital World" underscored its mission to empower communities through technology education.
The summit saw participation from international organizations, industry leaders, and talent program participants. A noteworthy partnership emerged as Huawei teamed up with the ITU to launch the Generation Connect Young Leadership Program. This initiative aims to provide funding and mentorship for youth-driven community projects addressing the digital divide.
Furthermore, Huawei revealed its collaboration with UNESCO to equip 10,000 Moroccan educators with essential tech integration skills. This initiative aligns with their support for the European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics, geared towards promoting female participation in STEM fields.
In addition to these partnerships, Huawei Cloud announced plans to bolster support for startups through comprehensive IT services and assistance with cloud migration, facilitating their rapid scalability.
In her closing statements, Huawei VP Vicky Zhang highlighted the company's longstanding global efforts, having nurtured over 2.83 million individuals across 150 countries. She emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in shaping a more inclusive digital future.
