Brigitte Macron’s daughter sparks attention with relationship with younger man

Tiffany Auzière, the 42-year-old daughter of French First Lady Brigitte Macron, has attracted public attention after appearing to confirm a relationship with a man 20 years younger than her, drawing comparisons with her mother’s own unconventional love story.

According to French magazine Gala, Auzière reportedly met Antoine Lecomte, a 22-year-old business student, during the summer in the coastal town of Le Touquet. Lecomte was working there as a kitesurfing instructor and reportedly helped Auzière learn to use an electric surfboard.

The pair subsequently appeared to grow closer, with Auzière sharing an Instagram video documenting moments from a trip to Amsterdam. A person described as a close friend reportedly said that the two quickly discovered common interests, including travel, adventure and entrepreneurship.

The relationship has inevitably prompted comparisons with Brigitte Macron’s marriage to French President Emmanuel Macron. Brigitte Macron, 73, is 25 years older than her husband, who is 48.

The president met Brigitte while he was a student and she was his drama teacher. Their relationship attracted considerable public attention because of their age difference and the circumstances of their meeting. They eventually married in 2007.

Auzière has previously defended her mother against criticism related to her age and relationship with Emmanuel Macron, arguing that similar age-gap relationships involving men often receive less scrutiny.

The latest reports come after Auzière separated from her previous partner in January 2025. She has also reportedly introduced her new partner to her two children, Elise and Aurèle.

The story has generated interest not only because of the age difference between the two partners, but also because of its striking resemblance to one of the most discussed relationships in French political life.
