La Liga: Adam Aznou Joins Malaga for a New Challenge

At 20 years old, Adam Aznou continues his development with a new challenge in Spain. The Moroccan international has been loaned to Malaga CF by Everton FC for the 2026-2027 season. The left-back will directly join the first team of the Andalusian club, aiming to gain playing time and further his development at the highest level.

A Return to Spain to Revive His Progress

Born in Barcelona on June 2, 2006, Adam Aznou is returning to a league and footballing environment he has known since his beginnings. His arrival at Malaga primarily offers him the chance to continue his training in a competitive setting, as the young defender now belongs to Everton.

The Spanish club officially announced his arrival following a medical examination and the signing of his contract at the La Rosaleda stadium offices. The player was presented in the presence of Loren Juarros, the sporting director of Malaga.

This loan is intended to provide the Moroccan with an environment conducive to gaining experience with the first team. At this age, consistency and time spent on the pitch are essential elements to transform promising potential into a true reference at his position.

An Already Established International Trajectory

Adam Aznou's journey has a unique aspect: the player has played in the Spanish youth teams before choosing to represent Morocco at the international level.

His choice was realized with his first official appearance in the national team jersey of Morocco A in 2024, when he was only 18 years old. He has since made three appearances with the Atlas Lions.

This international experience already gives him significant exposure, despite his young age. His time at Malaga comes at a moment when every step in his career can weigh heavily in the perspective of establishing himself among the players regularly called up for the Moroccan national team.

Malaga as a New Step

For the Andalusian club, Adam Aznou's arrival also represents an opportunity to strengthen its first team with a player still in the development phase, but who already possesses international experience.

For the defender, the goal will be different: to gradually establish himself, accumulate matches, and meet the demands of Spanish professional football.

The one-season loan thus offers a precise framework for this new adventure. The challenge will not only be to change clubs but especially to reach a new level in match management, consistency, and the ability to settle permanently in a professional squad.

An Important Season Ahead in 2026-2027

The upcoming season could play a decisive role in Adam Aznou's trajectory. At Malaga, the young Moroccan international now has a new opportunity to showcase his qualities and enhance his experience.

His return to Spain, a few years after leaving Spanish youth football to pursue his career abroad, marks a new phase in a still young career. With the Malaga jersey, Aznou will now seek to turn this opportunity into a true springboard.
