Strengthening Bilateral Relations: Morocco and Spain Pledge Commitment
Moroccan Ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, and Speaker of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol, engaged in constructive discussions on Thursday aimed at fortifying relations between their respective nations.
The meeting underscored the enduring ties between Morocco and Spain, including connections between their royal families. Both officials lauded the flourishing cooperation evident in governmental, economic, and cultural domains.
Of particular note was Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's visit to Morocco last April, at the invitation of King Mohammed VI, which delineated an ambitious vision for bilateral relations. The joint declaration forged during this visit outlines a trajectory toward comprehensive bilateral ties.
The upcoming Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean plenary session, slated to convene in Morocco next week, presents another opportunity to bolster regional cooperation.
Ambassador Benyaich and Speaker Armengol expressed their unwavering commitment during the meeting to further strengthen Morocco-Spain ties across various sectors in the years ahead.
