The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced on Saturday, March 22, 2025, the creation of a new traffic accident unit in the city of Sefrou, along with a second traffic accident unit and a mobile motorcycle police squad in Taza.

Additionally, the DGSN released a new list of appointments for key positions in multiple cities, including Taza, Agadir, Dakhla, Salé, and Tetouan. Seven new leadership positions were assigned, including the head of the second traffic accident unit in Taza, the head of the police district in Tetouan, and the chief of the tourist police unit in Salé.

Other appointments included the head of the criminal investigation unit and the head of the anti-gang unit within the regional judicial police division in Dakhla, as well as a commander and deputy commander for the mobile unit responsible for maintaining public order in Agadir.

These structural adjustments reflect the DGSN’s commitment to enhancing human resource efficiency through leadership rotation and the promotion of qualified personnel to key security roles. This approach aims to strengthen public safety and protect property through well-structured operational strategies.

The initiative underscores the Directorate’s dedication to modernizing security infrastructure and enhancing police capabilities to ensure public safety across the country. These measures align with a broader vision aimed at optimizing performance and achieving national security objectives.

As part of its annual strategic plans, the DGSN continues to reinforce police structures and bring security services closer to citizens. The new units will improve working conditions for law enforcement personnel while providing citizens with more accessible and efficient services.

This initiative also focuses on modernizing security facilities and upgrading police stations, reaffirming the Directorate’s commitment to creating well-integrated and functional workspaces.
