Haaland surpasses Salah and earns four Guinness World Records with Manchester City

Erling Haaland has added another remarkable chapter to his already impressive career, receiving four new Guinness World Records certificates in recognition of his outstanding achievements with Manchester City and Norway.

Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, the Norwegian striker has established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in world football. Under manager Pep Guardiola, Haaland has consistently broken scoring records and reached milestones at an extraordinary pace.

One of his most notable achievements came in December 2025, when he became the fastest player to score 100 goals in Premier League history. Haaland reached the milestone in just 111 appearances, underlining his extraordinary efficiency in front of goal.

The striker has also set the record for the most goals scored by a player in a single Premier League season. During the 2022–23 campaign, his first season with Manchester City, Haaland scored 36 goals in 38 league matches, surpassing the previous record held by Mohamed Salah.

Haaland's achievements extend beyond domestic football. He is also recognised as the all-time leading scorer in the UEFA Nations League, having scored 19 goals between 2020 and 2024. His tally puts him four goals ahead of his nearest challengers.

Another historic achievement came in the UEFA Champions League. Haaland joined the exclusive group of players to score five goals in a single match after finding the net five times against RB Leipzig. Only Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano had previously accomplished the feat in the competition.

His influence has also grown significantly beyond the pitch. Following the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Haaland reportedly gained around 24 million followers on Instagram, highlighting his growing global popularity.

With four Guinness World Records added to his name, Haaland continues to strengthen his reputation as one of the most prolific strikers of his generation and one of Manchester City's most influential players.
