US Visa Services Temporarily Suspended in Morocco for System Upgrade

The United States Embassy in Morocco announced a temporary pause of visa services from February 5 to 7, as part of the implementation of a new digital system set to launch on February 8.

During this three-day period, fee payment services and call center operations will be unavailable. The embassy has instructed all applicants to create new profiles on the updated portal, emphasizing the importance of using their previous email address to recover payment receipts and scheduled appointments.

Key details for applicants include:

- Both new and existing users must register on the new system
- Applicants who paid visa fees before or on February 3 can claim their payments by logging in with receipt numbers
- Interview appointments between February 5 and 7 may experience passport delivery delays
- Passport pick-ups and deliveries will continue as normal
- Applicants can still submit interview waivers or incomplete application documents at courier locations

The embassy strongly advised applicants to have their payment receipt numbers and dates readily available, as the call center will not be able to assist with retrieving this information during the transition.

Visa seekers are encouraged to carefully follow the embassy's instructions to ensure a smooth transition to the new system and minimize potential disruptions to their application process.
