Water reserves in Souss-Massa region exceed 149 million cubic meters

The water reserves in the significant dams located in the Souss-Massa region have surpassed 149 million cubic meters as of March 18, 2025, as reported by the Souss-Massa Hydraulic Basin Agency.

The total capacity of these dams exceeds 740.774 million cubic meters, with current reserves recorded at 149.403 million cubic meters, reflecting a filling rate of 20.02%.

Recent heavy rainfall across the various prefectures and provinces within the Souss-Massa region has contributed approximately 40.123 million cubic meters of water to these dams.

Specifically, the filling rate of the "Youssef Ben Tachfine" dam stands at 14.6%, with reserves of 43.456 million cubic meters. Meanwhile, the "Aoulouz" dam boasts reserves of 45.007 million cubic meters, equating to a filling rate of 50.6%.

The "Moulay Abdellah" dam has recorded reserves of 43.899 million cubic meters, representing a filling rate of 48.4%. In contrast, the "Abdelmoumen" dam in Tardoudant has seen its reserves rise to 7.07 million cubic meters, or 3.6%.

The "Ahl Souss" dam has achieved a filling rate of 21.2%, with reserves of 0.988 million cubic meters, while the "Imi Lkheng" dam has reached a filling rate of 16.8% with reserves of 1.643 million cubic meters.

Additionally, the reserves in the "Dkhila" dam have reached 0.158 million cubic meters, reflecting an impressive filling rate of 79%. The "Sidi Abdellah" dam has also performed well, with a filling rate of 70.9% and reserves totaling 7.350 million cubic meters.
