Jordanian and Emirati planes drop 25 tons of aid over Gaza
On Sunday, two Jordanian military aircraft and one from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) dropped a total of 25 tons of humanitarian aid over the northern Gaza Strip, according to a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The air-dropped assistance was conducted via three coordinated missions, one of which was jointly carried out with the UAE. The supplies were delivered by C-130 Hercules military transport planes and were aimed at reaching civilians trapped in conflict-affected areas where ground access remains severely restricted.
Images captured during the operation showed Palestinians in northern Gaza looking skyward as aid parcels floated down by parachute—an increasingly familiar scene amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
The Jordanian army emphasized that these efforts are part of a broader commitment to provide life-saving assistance to Gaza’s population, which continues to suffer from shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies due to the prolonged conflict.
As Gaza faces growing humanitarian needs, air-drops have become one of the few remaining channels to deliver aid to isolated communities, especially as fighting hampers land-based delivery routes.
