Islamic Trade Center to Host Key Economic Summit in Morocco
The Islamic Center for Development of Trade (ICDT) will convene its 23rd annual meeting of Economic Advisors from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on January 23 in Rabat, Morocco. The gathering brings together diplomatic representatives to discuss trade initiatives and economic cooperation for 2025.
The meeting will examine critical developments in international commerce and intra-OIC trade relations while showcasing ICDT's strategic programs. Key focus areas include Trade and Investment Promotion, Trade Facilitation, SME and Institutional Capacity Building, and Economic Intelligence initiatives.
High-level participation will include ICDT executives and partners, alongside representatives from countries scheduled to host ICDT fairs and exhibitions in 2025: Chad, Senegal, Uganda, Benin, Cameroon, and Comoros. The event will also welcome Economic Advisors from OIC member states' embassies in Morocco.
Adding to the meeting's significance, key Moroccan government representatives will attend from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, as well as the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Senegal's Ministry of Health, Solidarity and Social Action will also participate, along with delegates from various international and regional economic organizations and relevant Moroccan institutions.
This annual forum serves as a platform for diplomatic and economic representatives to exchange perspectives on ICDT's ongoing activities and collaborate on future projects, strengthening economic ties among OIC member states.
