Princess Lalla Meryem Presides Over Social Affairs Board of the FAR

Staying true to her unwavering commitment to the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and their families, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, President of the Social Affairs Board of the FAR, presided over the board meeting on Friday. Upon her arrival at the headquarters, she was welcomed by the Army Corps General, Inspector General of the FAR, and the Commanding Officer of the Southern Zone, who is also the Vice President of the Board. A guard of honor from the Headquarters Battalion of the FAR greeted her, followed by an introduction to the board members, according to a statement from the FAR General Headquarters.
The board meeting was attended by the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of National Defense Administration, the Inspector General of the FAR, the Commanding Officer of the Royal Gendarmerie, and other board members of the FAR's Social Affairs.
During the meeting, the Chief of the General Directorate of Social Services, a Colonel-Major, presented a report on the various services provided in the past year, focusing on support for peacekeeping operations, pilgrimage activities, and participation in the "Marhaba" operation to welcome Moroccans residing abroad.

Nearly 500 cooperatives showcased their products at this year's Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM), highlighting the rich variety of Moroccan artisanal goods. Attendees enjoyed a wide range of local products, from honey and olive oil to grains and processed foods, all reflecting a deeply rooted tradition of craftsmanship.
Redouane Ouazizi, president of the Manahel Safae cooperative in Akesri (Agadir), praised the SIAM for its outstanding organization and the opportunity it provides for cooperatives to reach a broader audience. "We've been able to showcase our products at several national and international fairs," he noted. "We always strive for certified quality products."
Despite a slight dip in attendance compared to previous years, Mr. Ouazizi remained optimistic about the success of this edition. "Customers have bought fewer products than in previous years due to rising prices," he observed.

The fourth edition of the International Summit Simulation for Al-Qods, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, concluded on a high note on Thursday in Rabat.
