Putin visit to China will take place very soon, Kremlin says
Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to travel to China in the near future, according to statements from the Kremlin on Thursday. Officials confirmed that preparations for the visit have already been finalized, although no exact date has been officially announced.
The upcoming trip reflects the continued strengthening of relations between Moscow and Beijing. Over the past years, President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have met on numerous occasions, reinforcing political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In February 2022, Russia and China signed a broad strategic partnership agreement described as having “no limits,” shortly before the escalation of the war in Ukraine. Since then, both countries have maintained close diplomatic coordination on major international issues.
The announcement comes at a time when global attention is also focused on other diplomatic movements involving major powers, including visits and engagements across Asia.
