The FBI has expressed its gratitude to Morocco for its role in the arrest of Alexander Justin White, a 29-year-old man accused of attempting to join ISIS.

The arrest took place on December 4, 2024, at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) as White was preparing to board a flight to Morocco. His arrest was the result of international cooperation between US and Moroccan authorities.

US Attorney Michael F. Easley, Jr. praised Morocco's contribution, emphasizing the critical nature of global security collaboration in preventing terrorism. He noted that White, who is linked to the ISIS terrorist group, faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

“We couldn’t do our work without strong local partners willing to share their resources to protect our homeland,” said Easley, acknowledging the importance of international alliances in counterterrorism efforts.
