Culture and Environment: Highlights from the 22nd Edition of the Beach Festival
The 22nd edition of the Beach Festival, organized by Maroc Telecom, concluded with a remarkable turnout from the public. From July 20 to August 21, 2026, the event attracted over 4 million festival-goers across 60 musical evenings held in four seaside destinations in the Kingdom: M'diq, Tangier, Al Hoceima, and Saidia.
This new edition confirms the place of the Beach Festival in the summer cultural calendar. For several weeks, the stages set up in different cities hosted over 120 Moroccan and international artists, with a lineup covering various musical genres, from Rap to Chaâbi, including Hip-Hop, Amazigh music, Raï, Reggada, Fusion, and contemporary song.
A Musical Program Open to All Audiences
One of the defining features of this 22nd edition lies in the diversity of artists and styles presented. The Festival also provided a platform for local groups, allowing young talents from the host regions to perform in front of a large audience alongside recognized artists.
The 60 musical events also coincided with several significant dates on the national calendar, including Throne Day, the Anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution, and Youth Day, resulting in evenings that gathered several thousand spectators.
Beaches Transformed into Entertainment Spaces
Beyond concerts, the Beach Festival developed an entertainment offering aimed at families and summer visitors. Street performances, recreational areas, and children's activity villages complemented the musical program, transforming the venues hosting the event into spaces for gathering and entertainment.
This approach aims to make the Festival an intergenerational meeting point, capable of bringing together music lovers, families, and visitors seeking activities during the summer season.
Environmental Awareness at the Heart of the Event
The 2026 edition also included a focus on coastal protection. Through its support for the "Clean Beaches 2026" initiative, led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, the Festival promoted messages encouraging responsible behavior regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and the preservation of natural spaces. Awareness content was disseminated daily to the public.
An Event that Supports the Appeal of Seaside Cities
Over the years, the Beach Festival has also established itself as a catalyst for activity in the territories that host it. The influx generated during the summer benefits various sectors of the local economy, including accommodation, dining, retail, tourist activities, and services.
With over 4 million participants, this 22nd edition illustrates the scale of this popular event. Maroc Telecom also highlights the mobilization of local authorities, artists, partners, and teams that contributed to the organization of this summer season.
After more than two decades of existence, the Beach Festival continues to establish its place in the Moroccan summer cultural landscape, combining music, entertainment, the promotion of local talent, and environmental awareness.
