Quebec Moroccan Festival: 5th Edition Celebrates Cultural Dialogue

The city of Quebec is set to host the 5th edition of the Quebec Moroccan Festival, scheduled from September 4 to 6. Over three days, the event will highlight the richness of Moroccan heritage while promoting exchanges with Quebec culture.

Organized by the Moroccan Association of Canada, the festival aims to bring together different communities around a program focused on sharing, transmission, and cultural discovery.

The programming will take visitors on a journey through various expressions of Moroccan heritage. Gnawa and Aïssaoua rhythms, traditional music and dances will be accompanied by performances from Quebec culture, including traditional dance and percussion. Spaces dedicated to crafts and cultural workshops will complement this offering.

Moroccan artist Mohamed Reffi is also among the guests of this new edition. His participation is expected to be one of the major artistic highlights of the festival.

Gastronomy will also hold a special place in this celebration. A workshop will focus on the meeting of two emblematic products: Moroccan argan oil and Canadian maple syrup, illustrating in its own way the dialogue between the heritages of the two countries.

Through this event, the organizers aim to make the Quebec Moroccan Festival an open space for meeting between cultures and generations. The event thus aspires to promote Moroccan traditions in Canada while strengthening ties with Quebec society, in a spirit of hospitality and conviviality.
