Iconic music store Paul Beuscher reopens in Paris
The historic music instrument store Paul Beuscher in Paris has officially reopened after being closed since November, marking a new chapter for one of the most iconic music addresses in France.
With a history spanning 175 years, the legendary shop has long been associated with major figures of music history, reportedly welcoming artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Édith Piaf. Its reopening on June 2 introduces a modernized concept that blends tradition with innovation.
The new version of the store goes beyond simple instrument sales. It now includes music studios, a lutherie workshop, and a coworking space, aiming to create a dynamic environment for musicians, creators, and visitors. According to its management, the goal is to transform the location into a true “house of music,” where people can buy, discover, meet, repair, and collaborate.
Céline Gaillard, general director and partner of the new Paul Beuscher, emphasized that the space is designed as a cultural hub rather than just a retail shop. This reinvention reflects broader changes in how traditional music stores are adapting to modern creative industries while preserving their historical identity.
