Morocco secured three medals, including a gold, at the 2026 German Open in Hamburg, underlining the strength of its senior women's taekwondo squad on the international stage.

Held on September 19 and 20, the tournament saw Moroccan athletes claim one gold, one silver and one bronze medal across three different weight categories.

Farah Touzani Takes Gold in Hamburg

Farah Touzani delivered Morocco's standout performance by winning the women's under-46 kg category. The Moroccan fighter defeated American athlete Kalyana Fonseca in the final to secure the gold medal.

Her victory provided the Moroccan delegation with its first title of the competition and added another international achievement to the country's recent taekwondo record.

Silver and Bronze Complete Morocco's Medal Haul

Oumaima El Bouchti added a silver medal in the under-53 kg division. She reached the final before losing a closely contested bout against Spain's Laura Rodriguez.

Nada Laaraj completed Morocco's medal tally with bronze in the under-62 kg category. Her run ended in the semifinals, where she was beaten by Turkey's Hatice Pinar Yigitalp. The Turkish athlete subsequently went on to win the gold medal in the division.

Together, the three results gave Morocco a presence on the podium in three separate women's weight classes.
