Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, held talks on Monday in Rabat with Alfred Oko Vanderpuye, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ghanaian Parliament.

Following the meeting, Vanderpuye, accompanied by Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, Charity Gbedeau, highlighted the longstanding and solid relationship between Morocco and Ghana, dating back to the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1961.

He stated that his visit seeks to deepen parliamentary cooperation between both countries’ legislative bodies. Describing the discussions with Bourita as productive, Vanderpuye emphasized their shared commitment to advancing mutual interests and reinforcing the common values upheld by Rabat and Accra.

Vanderpuye is currently heading a high-level delegation on a working visit to Morocco, where further talks with Moroccan officials are scheduled.
