Errachidia burn victim airlifted in critical condition to Tangier university hospital
Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection carried out an urgent medical evacuation for a man in critical condition, transferring him from the city of Errachidia to the specialized burn unit at the University Hospital Center (CHU) of Tangier.
In a statement, the regional health directorate of Drâa-Tafilalet explained that on Wednesday, December 3, the ministry deployed a medical aircraft to transport the patient from Moulay Ali Cherif Provincial Hospital in Errachidia to the CHU of Tangier.
The transfer was authorized after a medical assessment determined that the patient required immediate evacuation to a highly specialized burn-treatment facility.
According to the regional directorate, the operation was completed successfully and under optimal safety conditions, thanks to coordinated efforts between medical and nursing teams from both hospitals, as well as the mobilization of a specialized emergency medical unit.
The same source emphasized that this intervention is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Morocco’s emergency response system and ensure rapid, effective care for critical cases.
