Russia’s relentless tactics bring devastation to Ukrainian frontlines

As Russia intensifies its military campaign in Ukraine, frontlines in the Dnipropetrovsk region have turned into zones of destruction. Elderly civilians like Valentyn Velykyi, who resisted evacuation for months, are now being forced to flee villages reduced to rubble.

The war, now the largest in Europe since 1945, stretches over a 600-mile front. Despite catastrophic losses—estimated at over one million casualties—Russia continues its aggressive advances using kamikaze tactics, drones, and relentless bombardment. Civilians live in fear, many losing homes and loved ones in strikes.

Russian troops are approaching new territories, with speculation mounting that Dnipropetrovsk could be the next target in the Kremlin’s ambitions to redraw Europe’s map. Evacuation efforts are underway, led by local authorities and NGOs, rescuing people from devastated towns like Maliyivka and Oleksandrivka.

Amid scenes of destruction, residents speak of a lost past and uncertain future. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces vow to hold the line despite shortages in drones, ammunition, and personnel. Military leaders describe the enemy’s approach as “insidious,” involving human wave assaults and sacrificial operations.

As peace talks stall, civilians pay the highest price. In villages like Oleksandrivka, drone attacks have killed innocent passersby, while cities like Pavlohrad strain to shelter the displaced. The war, fueled by what many call Putin’s imperial ambitions, shows no signs of resolution.
