"Most of the bodies were charred and burned, while the injured lost limbs and suffered other injuries due to the use of potentially internationally prohibited weapons that caused the massive fire," al-Mughayyir said, describing the devastating impact of the airstrike.

The attack has been met with widespread condemnation, with Hamas accusing Israel of acting in "complete defiance and disregard" of the recent ICJ ruling. The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that Israel used a 907-kilogram bomb in the attack, which was the 10th assault on a United Nations-affiliated displacement center within the last 24 hours, resulting in at least 190 fatalities.
