His Excellency Li Changlin, the Ambassador of China to Morocco, sheds light on the transformative power of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) Summit 2024. The summit, held in Beijing, marked a significant milestone in China's commitment to Africa's development and modernization.

Ambassador Li Changlin emphasized the summit's success, stating, "The FOCAC Summit has brought together the China-Africa family, fostering a shared vision for a brighter future. President Xi Jinping's six major proposals for China-Africa modernization will guide our cooperation and contribute to the global South's progress."

China's strategic approach to Africa involves substantial investments in infrastructure and innovative programs for job creation and skill transfer. The ambassador highlighted China's commitment to Africa's economic and social development, citing the creation of over 1.1 million jobs in Africa in the last three years.

"China's cooperation with Africa has been instrumental in the continent's industrial development and economic transformation," Ambassador Li Changlin asserted. "The strategic partnership between China and African countries, as highlighted by Morocco's Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, is a cornerstone for Africa's progress."

The interview delved into the shared vision between China and Morocco for Africa's development, with a particular focus on the Atlantic Project. Ambassador Li Changlin explained, "Our two countries prioritize Africa in our foreign policies. We believe in Africa's potential and its emergence as a major global growth pole. The Atlantic Project is a key initiative that symbolizes our commitment to Africa's infrastructure and socio-economic transformation."

China's support for Africa's development extends beyond economics, as the ambassador highlighted the importance of cultural and educational cooperation. "We aim to enhance mutual understanding through cultural and educational exchanges. China will work with Morocco to promote artistic exchanges, encourage collaboration between our research institutions, and welcome more Moroccan students to China," he stated.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Li Changlin expressed his priorities for strengthening China-Morocco relations. "With increasing exchanges, we identify promising sectors for cooperation, including electric vehicles, renewable energy, and tourism. These sectors will contribute to addressing global challenges such as climate change and promoting sustainable development," he said.

In conclusion, the ambassador shared his admiration for Morocco and its people. "Morocco is an ambitious country, embracing a promising future. Under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom has accelerated its industrialization and diversified its development partnerships. The Chinese and Moroccan peoples' friendship is built on mutual understanding, and our strategic partnership's future lies with our youth," he added.
