Morocco reaches final of the 2025 Arab Cup

Doha, Qatar — Morocco secured a place in the final of the 2025 Arab Cup after a convincing 3-0 victory over the United Arab Emirates on Monday at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha.

Backed by a loud and passionate Moroccan crowd, the Atlas Lions imposed their dominance early on. Their efforts were rewarded in the 28th minute when Karim El Berkaoui rose highest to head home the opening goal, reflecting Morocco’s clear control of the first half.

After the break, the UAE showed more attacking intent, hitting the crossbar and the post, but Morocco remained composed. Goalkeeper Benabid and a well-organized defense kept the Emirati threats at bay before Morocco regained control of the match.

The decisive moment came in the 84th minute when El Mahdioui doubled the lead following a precise assist from Abderrazak Hamdallah, who had just come on as a substitute. Minutes later, Hamdallah sealed the victory himself, finishing a cross from Boulacsout to score the third goal and ignite celebrations in the stands.

With this emphatic win, Morocco will face the winner of the Saudi Arabia–Jordan semifinal at Lusail Stadium. The Atlas Lions now stand just one match away from lifting the Arab Cup, with confidence high ahead of the final.
