U.S. President Donald Trump hosted an Iftar dinner at the White House on Thursday evening, welcoming representatives of the Muslim community in the United States alongside members of the Arab and Islamic diplomatic corps accredited in Washington.

Among the distinguished guests was Morocco’s Ambassador to the U.S., Youssef Amrani. During the event, Trump expressed his gratitude to the Muslim American community for their support in the November presidential election.

"I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Muslim Americans who supported us in record numbers during the 2024 presidential election. It was incredible!" the president remarked.

Reaffirming his campaign commitments, Trump emphasized his administration’s dedication to fostering lasting peace in the Middle East through the historic Abraham Accords.

"The Muslim community supported us in November, and as long as I am president, I will stand by you," he assured attendees.

On this occasion, Trump praised the values of peace, tolerance, moderation, and coexistence promoted by Islam, which hold special significance during the holy month of Ramadan.

The gathering was attended by high-ranking U.S. officials and members of Congress.
