Casablanca completes transformation of Sidi Maarouf interchange
Casablanca has marked a milestone in urban mobility with the completion of the Sidi Maarouf interchange transformation, announced by the Moroccan National Highway Company (ADM).
This strategic infrastructure has become Morocco’s first three-level interchange, combining “turbine” and “cloverleaf” designs to optimize traffic flow and meet modern safety standards. The upgrade is expected to enhance road safety and improve both local and transit traffic across Greater Casablanca.
According to ADM, the Sidi Maarouf interchange serves as a crucial connection between the Casablanca bypass and the Casablanca-Berrechid highway. It facilitates access to Casablanca, Mohammedia, Berrechid, and El Jadida, as well as the Mohammed V International Airport.
ADM highlighted that the project, entirely executed by Moroccan expertise, was completed ahead of schedule and represents a complex, large-scale achievement in the country’s road infrastructure development.
