Stellantis Maroc launches eco bonus to accelerate vehicle fleet renewal

Stellantis Maroc has introduced a new incentive program aimed at modernizing Morocco’s vehicle fleet and supporting the country’s transition toward cleaner mobility. The initiative, called ECO BONUS, offers financial support to motorists who replace aging vehicles with electrified models from the Stellantis range.

The program grants a trade-in bonus of 30,000 dirhams to customers who scrap a vehicle more than 15 years old, regardless of its brand or condition, when purchasing a new hybrid, REEV, or fully electric vehicle from Stellantis. The initiative is designed to accelerate the replacement of older internal combustion vehicles, which typically produce higher carbon emissions, with more efficient and lower-emission alternatives.

According to the company, vehicles surrendered through the program will be directed to approved recycling and treatment channels to ensure environmentally responsible disposal in line with regulatory standards. By combining vehicle renewal with certified recycling processes, the initiative seeks to reduce pollution while encouraging the adoption of modern mobility technologies.

Stellantis Maroc says the program also aims to make electrified vehicles more accessible to a wider range of consumers. The company views the financial incentive as a practical tool to help drivers move toward hybrid and electric powertrains while receiving immediate economic benefits at the time of purchase.

Yves Peyrot des Gachons, Managing Director of Stellantis Maroc, said the ECO BONUS demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting Morocco’s energy transition and improving the national vehicle fleet. He noted that the initiative allows customers to switch to cleaner mobility solutions while receiving direct financial assistance.

The launch comes as Stellantis expands its portfolio of electrified vehicles available in Morocco. Several brands within the group now offer hybrid or electric models in the local market, including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, FIAT, Jeep, Leapmotor and Peugeot.

Customers can access the program through the Stellantis distribution network across Morocco. After visiting a dealership, the customer’s existing vehicle is inspected to confirm eligibility. If the car meets the criteria, the 30,000 dirham bonus is applied immediately to the purchase of an eligible electrified Stellantis vehicle.

Through this initiative, Stellantis Maroc aims to contribute to national priorities that include reducing transport-related emissions and accelerating the adoption of hybrid and electric mobility technologies. The company says the program supports a broader vision of a cleaner and more efficient transportation ecosystem in Morocco.
