Prophet’s Sirah and Islamic Civilization Museum welcomes 10 million visitors, ICESCO reports
The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has announced that the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Sirah and Islamic Civilization, open to the public since November 2022 at its headquarters in Rabat, has surpassed 10 million visitors.
According to a post on its social media, ICESCO highlighted that the museum offers an immersive "cognitive and spiritual experience," allowing visitors to explore the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through interactive installations and carefully documented materials.
This cultural journey is the result of a strategic partnership between ICESCO, the Muslim World League (MWL), and the Rabita Mohammadia of Scholars. It is designed as a “pilgrimage between faith and knowledge,” highlighting key stages of the Prophet’s Sirah and the history of Islamic civilization.
The exhibition, the first of its kind outside Saudi Arabia, aims to promote the message of Islam based on the values of justice, peace, mercy, tolerance, coexistence, and moderation. It relies on the Quran, the Prophet’s Sunnah (PBUH), and the rich history of Muslim civilization.
The museum features three main pavilions: the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophet’s Sirah and Islamic Civilization, the Panorama of the Noble Prophet’s Chamber—both supervised by the MWL and designed using 3D and virtual reality (VR) technology—and the pavilion “Moroccans’ Attachment to the Noble Prophet, Symbol of Love and Loyalty,” overseen by the Rabita Mohammadia of Scholars.
