UEFA has named Liverpool forward Bradley Barcola the best player of the second round of the Champions League league phase, following his outstanding performance in the English club’s emphatic 6-3 away victory over Austrian side LASK Linz.

The young French attacker scored three goals in Wednesday’s match, delivering a hat-trick that helped Liverpool secure all three points. The performance also marked his first official goals in a Liverpool shirt, making the occasion particularly significant for the forward.

Barcola’s display placed him ahead of several high-profile candidates in the fan vote for the weekly award. The other nominees included Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi and Barcelona’s Spanish star Lamine Yamal.
