Morocco recognized as best tourism partner destination for 2025

During its annual convention held in Casablanca on April 5-6, 2025, the Italian group Welcome Travel Group (WTG) awarded Morocco the title of Best Tourism Partner Destination for 2025. The award was presented to Achraf Fayda, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), by the WTG President.

This honor highlights the success of ONMT’s strategy in the Italian market, acknowledging the high quality of Moroccan tourism offerings and the strong ties built with the WTG distribution network. The WTG network, owned by Alpitour World and Costa Cruise, encompasses 2,492 agencies across Italy and is a leading force in tourism.

The WTG convention brought together over 1,500 professionals, including agency leaders, tour operators, airlines, and MICE industry representatives, marking it as a key event for the tourism sector. The event, covered by numerous specialized publications, offers Morocco significant opportunities for increased visibility and brand image.

The choice of Morocco as the host country reflects the growing trust from Italian partners. It also serves as an excellent opportunity to introduce the destination to new agencies and strengthen its position in Italian tour operator catalogs, especially for the Mediterranean professional events segment.

This recognition aligns with ONMT’s "Light In Action" strategy, which focuses on targeted actions and strategic partnerships in high-potential markets.
