Inclusive Education: over 27,600 children with disabilities supported in 2025
In 2025, a total of 27,642 children with disabilities benefited from Morocco’s program supporting inclusive education, the Secretary of State for Social Integration, Abdeljabbar Rachidi, announced on Tuesday.
The initiative operates under the Social Cohesion Fund for Disability and works in partnership with 437 associations dedicated to supporting children with special needs. Each child receives a monthly financial support of 1,200 dirhams, and the program’s budget has increased significantly from 166 million dirhams in 2021 to 396 million dirhams in 2025.
Rachidi highlighted the central role of the Entraide Nationale, the government’s executive arm, in implementing the program alongside partner associations. The initiative focuses primarily on rehabilitation, social integration, and paramedical support, while formal education remains under the responsibility of the Ministry of National Education, as guaranteed by Morocco’s Constitution and relevant laws.
About 30% of beneficiaries come from rural areas. Activities include enhancing autonomy, promoting social participation, and providing access to specialized services that help children integrate into their communities effectively.
