Amazon to open a new distribution center in Beauvais, Creating 1,000 jobs
Amazon continues to expand its operations in France with the announcement of a new distribution center in Beauvais (Oise), scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The project represents an investment of more than €200 million and will create 1,000 permanent full-time jobs, the American e-commerce giant confirmed on Tuesday.
This warehouse, dedicated to order preparation, is part of Amazon’s logistics network expansion plan in France. In addition to the Beauvais site, two more distribution centers will open in Illiers-Combray (Eure-et-Loir) and Colombier-Saugnieu (Rhône), along with a delivery agency in La Boisse (Ain).
Amazon currently employs over 25,000 permanent staff in France and operates 8 distribution centers, 26 delivery agencies, and 4 sorting centers. In the Hauts-de-France region, where the new facility will be located, the company already manages seven logistics sites and claims to have invested over €5 billion since 2010.
This expansion underscores Amazon’s commitment to strengthening its supply chain in Europe, amid growing demand for fast and sustainable delivery solutions.
