TAMWILCOM reports strong first-half 2026 financing and approves 2027 budget
TAMWILCOM strengthened its role in supporting access to finance for Moroccan businesses during the first half of 2026, with interventions contributing to the mobilization of 23.9 billion dirhams in financing. The figures were presented at a Board of Directors meeting held in Rabat on September 29, where the institution also reviewed its financial performance and approved its budget for 2027.
The financing generated through TAMWILCOM's interventions corresponded to 14.7 billion dirhams in commitments and covered more than 31,500 credit operations by the end of June. Businesses accounted for the largest share of these transactions, with nearly 26,000 operations.
The results form part of the institution's strategic roadmap, JOSSOUR 2030, which places improved access to financing among its key areas of intervention.
Private-sector guarantees remain at the center of activity
Support for private companies continued to represent the core of TAMWILCOM's activity. During the first six months of 2026, its guarantee operations helped mobilize close to 20 billion dirhams in business credit, backed by 11.5 billion dirhams in commitments.
Small businesses and microenterprises represented a significant portion of this activity. Through the Damane Express mechanism, more than 20,000 loans received guarantees during the period, generating 2.7 billion dirhams in financing.
The figures highlight the importance of guarantee instruments for smaller firms, particularly those whose access to conventional financing can be constrained by their size or financial structure.
PME financing combines operating and investment needs
TAMWILCOM also maintained substantial support for small and medium-sized enterprises through mechanisms covering both operating requirements and investment projects.
Under Damane Atassyir, which focuses on guarantees for working-capital financing, 14.5 billion dirhams in credit were mobilized during the first half of the year. Associated commitments reached 7.9 billion dirhams.
Investment financing was supported through Damane Istitmar, which covered 2.4 billion dirhams in loans, corresponding to 1.3 billion dirhams in commitments.
Together, these mechanisms address two complementary financing needs for businesses: maintaining day-to-day operations and funding longer-term development projects.
Public-sector financing and participative finance expand
TAMWILCOM's intervention was not limited to private companies. The institution also provided guarantees for financing instruments raised by public establishments and enterprises from national and international lenders. Commitments in this segment amounted to 2 billion dirhams during the first half of 2026.
At the same time, the institution's participative finance window, DAAMA TAMWIL, recorded strong growth. Financing provided to businesses exceeded 400 million dirhams, representing a 72% increase compared with the first half of 2025.
The performance points to a continued expansion of the institution's financing channels, including mechanisms designed to respond to different forms of business funding.
Positive financial performance at mid-year
Beyond its guarantee and financing activity, TAMWILCOM reported solid financial results for the six months ending June 30, 2026.
The institution generated 413 million dirhams in Net Banking Income, while its Net Income reached 198 million dirhams.
The figures were reviewed by the Board alongside the first-half activity indicators. The meeting also resulted in approval of TAMWILCOM's budget for the 2027 financial year, setting the framework for the institution's next stage of operations.
With financing mobilized across microenterprises, SMEs, larger private companies and public-sector entities, TAMWILCOM enters the second half of 2026 with its guarantee activity remaining closely linked to the broader objective of facilitating access to funding across Morocco's productive economy.
