Morocco names 14-player squad for Futsal AFCON 2026
Morocco’s national futsal team has finalized its squad for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations, with head coach Hicham Dguig selecting 14 players for the continental tournament scheduled to take place in Morocco from October 12 to 21.

According to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Morocco has been drawn into Group A alongside Algeria, Zambia and Libya. The group-stage fixtures will therefore feature a series of regional matchups as the Moroccan side begins its campaign in front of a home audience.

- Raiss El Fenni Idriss
- El Idrissi Othmane

The coaching staff will now focus on final tactical adjustments and ensuring the squad is ready for the demands of a short and intensive continental tournament.
Morocco set for Group A challenge
The draw has placed Morocco in a group featuring Algeria, Zambia and Libya, giving the hosts a varied set of opponents during the first stage of the competition.
The presence of Algeria adds a regional dimension to the group, while Zambia and Libya will provide different tactical challenges. Morocco’s position as host also places additional attention on its performances throughout the tournament.
The 2026 Africa Cup of Nations in futsal will run from October 12 to 21 in Morocco, with the national team entering the competition under the guidance of Dguig and a 14-player squad selected specifically for the continental campaign.
