Gad Elmaleh returns to Casablanca with a deeply personal comedy show
Renowned Moroccan-French comedian Gad Elmaleh is preparing to make an emotional return to Casablanca, the city where he grew up. He will perform three exclusive shows of his latest tour on September 25, 26, and 27 at the Mohamed V Complex.
After a successful international run that included performances in London, New York, Miami, Switzerland, and Abu Dhabi, Elmaleh is eager to reconnect with his Moroccan audience. For him, stepping on stage in Casa is charged with symbolism, an encounter with his roots and a bond with fans who, he says, feel like family.
Elmaleh considers the Moroccan public both demanding and inspiring. This connection, he explains, fuels his creativity and makes every performance in Morocco unique. He promises new sketches and material tailored especially for local audiences, while also sharing reflections on his journey and experiences abroad.
Beyond the stage, Gad Elmaleh has recently been appointed to the board of the Royal Theatre of Rabat, a major cultural initiative chaired under royal patronage. He expressed his pride in contributing to this project alongside notable cultural figures, and he voiced hope that Casablanca, his hometown, will soon see its own major theatre shine on the national cultural scene.
The comedian closed his message with heartfelt gratitude to the Moroccan public, whose enduring support, he says, gives him the strength to perform across the world.
“Casa is home, Morocco is my home, and I am proud to be on stage here,” Elmaleh declared.
