Morocco Defeat Libya 4-2 Away in 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifiers
Morocco’s national beach soccer team secured a 4-2 away victory over Libya on Friday, taking an important step in their bid to qualify for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan side delivered a four-goal performance in Benghazi, giving themselves an advantage ahead of the return leg scheduled for October 18 in Morocco. The second encounter will determine the outcome of the two-legged qualifying tie.
Four Moroccan Players Make the Difference
Amine El Bidouri, Badr El Kraichly, Driss Ghannam and Reda Ezzahraoui were the scorers for Morocco, with each player contributing one goal to the team's tally.
Their efforts secured a two-goal margin over the Libyan hosts and put Morocco in a favourable position heading into the decisive home fixture.
Playing away from home, Morocco managed to find the net four times, while Libya scored twice. The result leaves the North African sides with the return match still to play before the qualification contest is settled.
Return Match Scheduled for October 18
Morocco will host Libya on October 18 for the second leg of the qualifying round. The national team will seek to build on its first-leg advantage and secure progression towards the continental beach soccer tournament.
The return fixture will be a key test for both teams, with Libya needing to overcome the two-goal deficit and Morocco aiming to complete the job on home sand.
