Morocco calls for unified Arab response to Iranian aggressions
Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed on Sunday that the security of Gulf countries is closely linked to the stability of Morocco. Speaking during an extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Arab League, he called for a strong and unified Arab position in response to recent Iranian actions in the region.
During the meeting, which addressed alleged Iranian attacks against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states, Bourita reaffirmed Morocco’s long-standing support for its Arab partners. He emphasized that the position reflects the vision of HM king Mohammed VI, who has repeatedly stated that the stability of Gulf nations is inseparable from Morocco’s own security.
The Moroccan minister explained that the Kingdom stands firmly with Gulf countries and supports all legitimate measures they may adopt to protect their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their citizens and residents. According to him, recent regional developments represent a direct threat to the stability of the Arab world.
Bourita also warned that hostile policies and growing tensions in the region could undermine peace and cooperation among neighboring countries. He stressed that unity and collective action among Arab states remain essential to addressing security challenges and preserving regional stability.
In this context, Morocco urged Arab countries to strengthen coordination within the Arab League and to adopt a clear and unified stance against any actions that threaten regional security. The minister also emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue to ease tensions and avoid further escalation.
