Morocco: A World-Class Business Hub
In a statement delivered on Friday at the Morocco-France Economic Forum, Ali Seddiki, the Director-General of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), emphasized that Morocco is a world-class business hub with innovative ecosystems in cutting-edge sectors.
Highlighting Morocco's economic strengths, Seddiki noted that the country is Africa's leading producer of tourist vehicles, the top aerospace exporter on the continent, and the second-largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in Africa.
Furthermore, Seddiki highlighted Morocco's direct access to 2.5 billion consumers, its young, dynamic, and motivated human capital, and its forefront position in the energy transition. He emphasized the attractive government incentives, such as investment subsidies, that support business growth.
Mohamed El Kettani, Co-Chairman of the France-Morocco Business Leaders Club, expressed that the forum showcased the extraordinary potential that should foster renewed economic cooperation between Morocco and France. He added that the event identified opportunities for businesses on both sides of the Mediterranean, and the recommendations made during the forum will be compiled into a booklet to be presented to both governments.
Ross Mcinnes, Co-Chairman of the France-Morocco Business Leaders Club, underlined the historical and geographical ties that unite the two nations. He commended the success of the important forum, which focused on promising areas for fruitful economic cooperation, benefiting Moroccan and French private operators.
The event, jointly organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Movement of French Enterprises (MEDEF), brought together over 500 economic leaders from both countries. With the theme "Together towards a renewed momentum of economic and social opportunities," the forum aimed to foster collaboration and explore avenues for enhanced economic ties.
In conclusion, Morocco's position as a global business hub is underscored by its thriving industries, youthful workforce, and commitment to renewable energy. The Morocco-France Economic Forum serves as a platform for forging stronger economic cooperation between the two nations, ultimately benefiting businesses on both sides of the Mediterranean.
