Moroccans Rally in Solidarity with Palestine Across 46 Cities

In a remarkable display of unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, citizens across 46 Moroccan cities took to the streets today, participating in 105 demonstrations after Friday prayers. Organized by the Moroccan Organization for Supporting the Causes of the Ummah, these marches were part of the 33rd "Al-Aqsa Flood Friday," a collective effort to continue supporting Palestine until the end of the war and aggression.

The solidarity of the Moroccan people with Gaza and Palestine as a whole has remained steadfast in the months following the recent aggression. According to organizers, these marches serve as a resounding affirmation of unconditional solidarity with the just demands of the Palestinian people and a condemnation of the genocide, war crimes, starvation, and attempted displacement that have taken place in Gaza over the past months since last October.

Mohammed Riahi, a member of the national bureau of the Moroccan Organization for the Advancement of the Causes of the Ummah, hailed the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor's decision to pursue arrest warrants against the Israeli President and the Israeli Minister of Defense for war crimes as an important decision, although it came late, after the destruction of Gaza City and the targeting of all signs of life in it and the deaths of more than 50,000 martyrs.

Addressing the recent recognition of an independent Palestinian state by Spain, Norway, and Ireland, Riahi expressed, "We value this new direction, which we can consider as a basic means of putting pressure on the occupying entity and its ally America, which we consider a partner in this unprecedented war throughout history."

With a touch of optimism, Riahi conveyed his hopes that the European consciousness will wake up to the massacres that have taken place in the Gaza Strip over the past months and take the same step.

Beyond the marches organized in various Moroccan cities after Maghrib prayers today, the Commission has called for intensified solidarity efforts, particularly in light of the recent developments regarding the International Criminal Court's decision and the recognition of Palestine by three new European states.
