2025 Africa Nations Championship to take place in East Africa this August
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the 2025 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) will be held from August 2 to 30 in East Africa.
The tournament, originally scheduled for an earlier date, was postponed to allow additional time for infrastructure development in the co-hosting nations—Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. This marks a historic moment as it will be the first time that three East African countries collaborate to host the prestigious competition.
The CHAN tournament, which exclusively features players competing in their domestic leagues, plays a crucial role in showcasing local talent and strengthening football development across the continent. With East Africa preparing to welcome teams and fans from all over Africa, the event is expected to boost regional football and infrastructure growth while promoting unity among the host nations.
