Renowned journalist Redouane Ramdani Takes a Stand Against Online Attacks on Dounia Batma

In the aftermath of the recent announcement regarding the dismissal of Dounia Batma's appeal by the Court of Cassation in Rabat, journalist Redouane Ramdani has vehemently condemned the offensive remarks circulating on social media platforms directed at the artist. Concerned about the surge of negativity surrounding Batma, Ramdani recently shared a poignant story on his Instagram account, denouncing the malicious attacks and hinting at a possible motive of revenge from certain individuals. He commented, "The level of animosity and aggression in many comments on Dounia Batma's posts and news articles has reached an unprecedented level of repulsion and irritation."

Expressing his bewilderment, Ramdani added, "I cannot fathom this degree of hysteria in the desire to tear others down. If Batma has made a mistake, only the justice system is empowered to punish her."

It is noteworthy that, in response to the onslaught against Dounia Batma, numerous internet users have rallied behind the young artist through the hashtag "Tous avec Dounia Batma" (All with Dounia Batma), which has gained substantial traction on social media platforms in recent days.

Additionally, it is crucial to recall that last week, the Court of Cassation in Rabat rejected the appeal of Moroccan artist Dounia Batma, thereby upholding the sentence pronounced three years ago by the Court of Appeal in Marrakech. The initial sentence had been amended to one year of imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 dirhams. This legal action stems from Batma's involvement in the notorious "Hamza Mon Bb" case.
