Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (WAC) is set to kick off its 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign against England’s Manchester City on June 18 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, according to the official schedule released by FIFA on Saturday.

This year’s tournament marks a historic milestone with its newly expanded format, featuring 32 teams for the first time.

Following the opening clash, WAC will take on Italian powerhouse Juventus on June 22, also in Philadelphia. The Moroccan champions will then face UAE's Al Ain, a club that boasts Moroccan star Soufiane Rahimi, at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on June 26.

The highly anticipated tournament will culminate in the final, scheduled for July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New York.

Expanded Competition Format

The 2025 Club World Cup introduces a broader lineup, with 12 teams from Europe, six from South America, and four each from Africa, Asia, and North America. Oceania will contribute one representative. Teams are divided into eight groups, with the top two from each group progressing to the knockout stages, intensifying the competition.
