Al Aoula unveils its Ramadan 2026 programming lineup

Moroccan public broadcaster Al Aoula has unveiled its special programming schedule for Ramadan 2026, offering a diverse lineup that blends drama, comedy, documentaries, entertainment and religious content. The grid has been designed to meet the expectations of a wide audience, reflecting different age groups and cultural sensitivities throughout the holy month.

The channel’s Ramadan season opens with the documentary series Ancient Cities, aired daily in the late afternoon. The program takes viewers on a journey through twenty Moroccan cities, highlighting architectural heritage, cultural traditions and local restoration efforts, while connecting collective memory with younger generations.

Content for children and families follows, including an animated series centered on a humorous investigator character, as well as a daily sitcom portraying life in a popular residential building where intersecting stories and lighthearted situations unfold.

Drama remains a central pillar of the schedule. Several series explore social and economic themes, from power struggles in the real estate sector to sensitive issues such as illegal trafficking networks, told through human-centered narratives set in urban neighborhoods. Another prime-time drama follows the journey of a young woman raised in an orphanage as she navigates complex social realities.

Weekly prime-time productions bring additional variety, with series focusing on the fashion industry and the symbolic value of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Evening television films further enrich the offering, spanning comedy, suspense and social drama, and airing late into the night.

Entertainment programs also feature prominently, including reality shows highlighting unexpected life stories and family-oriented formats. Music lovers can enjoy a weekly program dedicated to spiritual music and traditional Moroccan chants, bringing together artists from across the country.

Al Aoula continues to emphasize educational and cultural content through family programs covering health, nutrition, legal advice, heritage and well-being, alongside documentaries exploring science, civilization, arts and traditions.

Religious programming remains at the heart of the Ramadan schedule, with daily Quranic content and weekly shows offering contemporary reflections on Islamic values rooted in tolerance and coexistence. Children’s programming rounds out the lineup with educational and entertaining formats designed for a safe viewing environment.

Through this balanced and varied grid, Al Aoula reaffirms its commitment to delivering meaningful, inclusive and high-quality television content for Moroccan families during Ramadan 2026.
