Morocco strengthens its position as a rising AI outsourcing destination

Morocco has reinforced its reputation as one of the world's emerging outsourcing hubs after being ranked among the top 25 countries best prepared to integrate artificial intelligence into outsourced business services, according to the Global Outsourcing AI Readiness Index 2026.

The report highlights Morocco's growing ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving global outsourcing industry, where artificial intelligence is becoming a key driver of productivity, automation, and digital transformation. As companies increasingly seek AI-enabled service providers, countries capable of combining skilled talent with advanced digital infrastructure are gaining a competitive advantage.

Morocco ranked 19th globally, making it one of Africa's leading destinations for AI-driven outsourcing. The Kingdom also secured second place in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, reflecting continued progress in developing its digital economy and technology ecosystem.

The ranking evaluates countries using several criteria, including AI adoption by businesses, workforce readiness, digital innovation, and the availability of specialized training programs. These indicators measure how effectively national ecosystems are preparing for the increasing use of artificial intelligence across business services.

The report notes that Morocco has made steady progress by investing in digital infrastructure, expanding technology education, and strengthening its business environment. These efforts have helped position the country as an attractive destination for international companies seeking outsourcing partners that combine competitive operating costs with access to qualified professionals.

Although the study indicates that AI adoption among Moroccan businesses still has room for improvement, the country performs better than several established outsourcing markets in emerging economies. Morocco's geographic proximity to Europe, stable investment climate, multilingual workforce, and expanding technology sector continue to support its appeal as an outsourcing destination. As artificial intelligence reshapes the global outsourcing landscape, analysts expect Morocco to benefit from increasing demand for advanced digital services.
