Visa, Zazu and Chari launch fully digital business account in Morocco

Visa, Zazu, and Chari have introduced a fully digital business account for entrepreneurs and small companies in Morocco, marking a shift toward faster and more accessible financial services for SMEs.

The solution allows users to open a professional account online in about 10 minutes, removing the paperwork and delays commonly associated with traditional banking processes. More than 300 Moroccan businesses had already adopted the service before its official launch.

The product is built on a partnership between Visa, fintech startup Zazu, and Chari, which provides the technological infrastructure, regulatory access, and local expertise supporting the platform. The rollout was also backed by early-stage funding from international investors.

Zazu designed the application as an all-in-one financial tool for business owners. It includes invoicing features that allow users to generate and send invoices quickly, payment links to streamline collections, and real-time expense tracking with customizable user roles for teams.

The companies plan to expand the offer by introducing Visa Business cards for team use in the coming weeks, further integrating payments and financial management into a single platform.

The launch targets a structural gap in Morocco’s banking system, where opening a business account can still take weeks and involve manual procedures and unclear pricing structures. The platform aims to simplify these processes for entrepreneurs operating in fast-moving sectors.

Zazu, founded in 2024 by former Solarisbank executives, is expanding across Africa, with Morocco representing a key market due to its established financial infrastructure and growing startup ecosystem.

The initiative was unveiled during GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech, where partnerships between global technology firms and local startups have intensified. The move aligns with Morocco’s ambition to strengthen its position as a regional hub for digital finance and innovation.

Early users of the platform include companies such as Jobzyn, Auto24, Yakeey, and Votre Chauffeur.ma, reflecting demand for streamlined financial tools among emerging businesses.
