Türkiye confirms no threat at incirlik air base amid siren rumors
Turkish defense authorities on Friday clarified that there was no threat or emergency at the Incirlik air base in southern Türkiye, following widespread social media rumors of siren alerts.
According to sources from the Turkish National Defense Ministry (MSB), posts circulating online claimed that sirens had been activated at the 10th Main Jet Base Command in Adana’s Incirlik district.
Authorities confirmed in a written statement that “there is no attack or any negative situation” and described the circulating reports as a “false alarm.”
Officials urged the public to rely on verified information and avoid sharing unconfirmed reports that could cause unnecessary panic.
