Replit raises 400 million dollars, triples valuation to 9 billion

Replit, the AI powered coding platform known for popularizing “vibe coding,” has raised 400 million dollars in a Series D funding round that values the company at 9 billion dollars, tripling its valuation in just six months.

The company announced the investment alongside the launch of Agent 4, its newest AI development tool, and outlined a target of reaching 1 billion dollars in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026.

The funding round was led by Toronto based venture capital firm Georgian Partners, which previously participated in Replit’s 250 million dollar Series C funding round in September 2025. Additional investors included G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, and Y Combinator.

Strategic investors such as Accenture, Databricks Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Tether also joined the round. The Qatar Investment Authority and venture firm 1789 Capital, associated with Donald Trump Jr., participated as well. Angel investors Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto were also listed among the backers.

Chief executive Amjad Masad said the company’s long term mission is to enable anyone with an idea and internet access to build software applications. Margaret Wu, lead investor at Georgian, described Replit as a central player in a new generation of companies shaping the AI driven technology economy.

The funding announcement coincided with the introduction of Replit Agent 4. According to the company, the tool operates ten times faster than its predecessor, Agent 3. The system allows multiple AI agents to work simultaneously on software projects, managing tasks in parallel while maintaining human developers at the center of the creative process.

Replit’s financial growth has accelerated rapidly with the rise of AI assisted development. Before releasing its first AI agent, the company generated about 2.8 million dollars in annualized revenue. That figure increased to 150 million dollars by September 2025 and reached roughly 240 million dollars by the end of the same year.

The company told Forbes it aims to expand that figure to 1 billion dollars in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026.

Replit now reports more than 50 million users worldwide. Employees from 85 percent of Fortune 500 companies use the platform to build software. Corporate clients include Atlassian, LabCorp, PayPal, Zillow, and Adobe.

According to Ramp, Replit ranked among the fastest growing software platforms in March 2026. Early investor Paul Graham, cofounder of Y Combinator, said the company could reshape the concept of intuitive AI driven programming.
